Age 7: A Year to Remember…An important time. Milestones are passing by quickly. Reading… School… Friendships… Increasing awareness of one’s appearance… These early years are significant in creating the future of a child. The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends all children be seen by an orthodontist by the age of seven, unless a problem is detected earlier. Your Child deserves a worry-free future. Left untreated, orthodontic problems have the serious potential to become physically more complicated and emotionally devastating. It is better to be safe now rather than sorry in the future. Contrary to popular understanding, you do not need to wait for your family dentist to recognize an orthodontic problem and refer your child for an appointment. A parent or Patient can self-refer.
Orthodontic evaluation provided by a board-certified orthodontist should be initiated at age seven. The primary benefit of early consultation is the opportunity to monitor the development or your child’s teeth in order to maximize treatment option availability. Awareness and prevention today leads to increased options and reduced investment tomorrow.

We have the privilege of watching the smiles of our adult Patients transform during the course of their treatment. At the time of the initial consult, some are even hesitant to smile for clinical photos. These are the very same Patients who share wonderful gains in self-confidence and satisfaction in their personal and professional lives. Preventing costly future dental problems…Besides great smile improvement, orthodontics can slow or stop excessive wear of the teeth by correcting improper alignment and bite problems. Malocclusions and “deep bites” can cause significant wear of the teeth, and other than aesthetic changes is the number one reason for middle-aged men and women to seek orthodontic care. Braces are also used in combination with a dental restorative treatment plan to enhance the result and achieve corrections restorative treatment alone isn’t capable of. The technological advances in orthodontic treatment in recent years give adult patients more options than ever before, such as heat-activated titanium archwires for more comfort, and aesthetic brackets that work faster and are much less obvious than older versions. We offer flexible investment scheduling with our in-office financing (no third party telling us how we have to set our financial arrangements and we accept a wide variety of insurance plans.)
For appointment scheduling we usually suggest 6-8 weeks between visits. To accommodate busy work schedules we have some early and lunch hour appointments available.
