Adult Orthodontics
Adults in braces are becoming more and more common. At Warford Orthodontics, 25% of our patients are adults. As is understandable after living years with unesthetic teeth, adults report very high satisfaction rates with having undergone orthodontic treatment.
Other than a great smile improvement, orthodontics can change unhealthy tooth wear and enhance your dental restorative treatment.
Orthodontic treatment has never been as efficient as it now is, and many of the stereotypes of braces when you were a kid are no longer. Orthodontic appliances are less noticeable today, and remember kids with headgear? Headgear is a thing of the past at Warford Orthodontics, being replaced by more modern techniques.
Many adult patients choose esthetic (white braces). It does make the braces much less noticeable (although our metal brackets are pretty small too!). Invisalign is orthodontic treatment without using any fixed (glued on) appliances. We provide this service, although only certain patients qualify as good candidates for this treatment regimen. We're happy to discuss this treatment modality at your first visit.
Also of interest to our adult patients is how often visits are needed. Usually, we suggest 6-8 weeks between appointments. We also have some early and lunch hour appointments available on certain days to accommodate work schedules.
Additionally, part of our commitment to adult treatment is offering a private "VIP Room" for adults who prefer it, complete with LCD TV.
